Hexapeptide-11 is a naturally occurring polypeptide, which can play a certain role in anti-aging and relieving skin wrinkles,
including the dynamic wrinkles on the face and crow’s feet around the eyes. It can also repair the pigmentation after
inflammation, as well as the acne marks after acne, and has a certain whitening effect.
Hexapeptide-11 reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, making this an excellent addition to all kinds of skincare and anti-aging products. Hexapeptide-11 is also associated with hair growth. It has been shown in vitro genomic studies run on human dermal fibroblasts to upregulate critical genes responsible for collagen production and important extracellular matrix components such as hyaluronic acid. A gene microarray study conducted on human dermal fibroblasts shows that topical treatment with Hexapeptide-11 could upregulate the Androgen Receptor gene (AR), indicating that the peptide is capable of binding to the Androgen Receptor much the way testosterone will. The finding suggests that Hexapeptide-11 may be able to influence the principal biochemical pathways responsible for converting young vellus hair into mature terminal hair.
